Exam Information

The CHSP exam is offered online after the conference and must be taken within 60 days of attending Ascend. The exam cost is $275. Once you register for the exam, you’ll receive a printed study guide at Ascend.

The HSA certification workshop will be held Wednesday 8:00-4:15.
Earn the CIS II Certification
Earn the Certified IRA Specialist II (CIS II) at Ascend. The CIS II expands your knowledge on a range of IRA transactions:

  • Excess contributions
  • Recharacterizations
  • Rollovers and transfers
  • RMDs
  • Conversions
  • Withholding
Exam Information

The CIS II exam is offered online after the conference, and must be within 60 days of attending Ascend. The exam cost is $275. If you’ve registered for the exam, when you arrive at Asend, you’ll receive a study guide that contains the recommended courses for the CIS II exam.

The CIS II exam prep will be held Wednesday 1:30-4:15.
Continuing Education
Most industry designations require continuing education (CE) credits to stay proficient in your career and competitive in an ever-changing industry. Ascend meets the CE standards for 25 industry designations.

Recently approved CE credits include:
  • Earn 1.25 credits per course for the CIP, NCCO, CIS I/II designations
  • Earn 1.25 credits per HSA course for the CHSP designation
  • Earn 21 credits total for the CISP, CRSP, and CTFA designations
  • Earn 1.5 credits per course for the CFP designation (Compliance Audit course not eligible for CFP credits)
